Women's Conference
with RoseAnne Coleman
May 4-6, 2012
In her memorable presentations, Dr. RoseAnne Coleman uses the Bible, humor, and personal life
experiences to delight and draw in her audiences. As one listener said, “I have never laughed
so hard while learning so much about God. I was surprised and sad when her session was over; I
would have listened all day long.” RoseAnne receives rave reviews wherever she goes. One reason
is her emphasis on creating a “student-centered” environment for teaching. “As I teach the Bible
and speak of applying it to my everyday life, I try to draw pictures with my words so that each
listener’s brain can ‘see’ and process in its own way. As a teacher, I care that my students
learn, not just listen to a speaker’s speech.”
Born in Sylacauga, Alabama, Dr. Coleman grew up a Southern Baptist preacher’s kid, and “graduated”
thirteen times from Vacation Bible School. She also has a doctorate in English from Middle
Tennessee State University and over ten years teaching experience in public schools and over
twenty-five years in local, national and international Bible studies and conferences. “God blessed
me with a sense of humor and gifted me as a teacher. I love to see people laugh and learn at the
same time. Genuine laughter tends to loosen up hard-packed hearts and allow the Truth of God’s
Word to trickle down to a person’s are deepest, dry places.” As another listener noted,
“Dr. Coleman is not your average Bible teacher.” One explanation is that she simplifies the
Scriptures and helps people grasp the Gospel so they can see God in everyday life, in everyday
experiences.
