Project Diary-Update 17 – August 1, 2009
We’re very excited to be done with our dorm/office project! The only thing left to do is installation of a sprinkler system, scheduled for fall or winter.
Our summer staff women moved in to the second floor dorm June 1 and the Ecola Bible School staff began moving in to their offices in early July. Everyone is delighted with the new facility. We were able to complete the project at a cost of about $1.17 million, a little more than initially projected due to some cost increases and changes during construction. We’re grateful all the funds necessary to fully pay for the project have come in! Nearly 9,500 hours of volunteer help has been contributed for the project over the past 16 months. That has involved over 100 different volunteers of all ages. Over 500 specific guests contributed to the project, plus many more who gave cash gifts. We thank God for the overwhelming support of our friends and supporters and trust this new facility will forward the ministry of the Cannon Beach Conference Center and Ecola Bible School, and, more importantly, God’s Kingdom!
