Website: Project Diary-Update 7 – August 28, 2008

This summer season has seen a tremendous amount of progress on the new dorm/office project! After site work and pouring of the foundation in June, framing began in earnest in July. With anywhere from six to fifteen volunteers at the site, framing of both floors is nearly complete. In fact, roof trusses are scheduled to arrive next week. If they can be installed in a timely manner, the goal of closing in the building by early to mid October looks very feasible. Volunteers have come from throughout the northwest as well as around the country. Their enthusiasm, faithfulness and diligence has been an inspiration for our staff and their consistent prayer has surely made a difference in the conference ministry this summer. We’re grateful, too, that over $179,781 has been given for the project this summer alone, bringing us to needing only about $300,000 more to have enough funds in hand or committed to meet the projected cost of the project.
