Hospitality Team

Jeff Carlsen, executive director, joined the conference center staff in 1983 as program manager. In 1996, he assumed the position of executive director. Jeff is an avid sports fan who enjoys playing sports and cheering our local teams. Jeff and his wife Jean have two children, Adam and Erin who are both graduates of George Fox University. Adam works for Christian Camping International in Central America. Erin and her husband Kyle live in Manzanita with two children who visit grandpa often.

Patrick Bergman has recently joined our team as program manager. Patrick and his wife Chelsea and three kids have most recently come from Omaha, Nebraska. He has been a successful pastor and youth pastor for a number of years and is very familiar with camp and conference ministry. Patrick loves to golf and build furniture when time allows, as well as keep up with Alex his greyhound.


Lisa Beedy joined the Cannon Beach staff in 2007. She and her husband Dave, who supervises in our accommodations department, led a Christian camp in northwestern Montana. Lisa often leads worship both at her local church and at CBCC staff events. She loves to have her children and grandchildren visit, and often has a house full of young staff enjoying fellowship and Bible study.

In addition to Jeff, Patrick and Lisa, our staff includes more than fifty full-time staff who are committed to providing the opportunity for our guests to experience spiritual refreshment in a setting free from the distractions of every-day life.
