Sessions:
-
Schedule: There will be ten (10) sessions during the week which include Sunday 7pm // Monday 10am & 7pm // Tuesday 10am & 7pm // Wednesday 7pm // Thursday 10am & 7pm // Friday 10am & 7pm.
-
Logistics Pre-Session: Before each session, please arrive in the Chapel 15 minutes early to be mic'd and participate in prayer with the worship team and the conference host.
-
Program: Here are the details of how the sessions are formatted. The first 30 minutes of all of them will be for worship and announcements. Your speaking will start after a transition from the worship team. You will have 40 minutes. We typically end the session with a worship song or a reprise.
-
Wednesday Evening Session: This family session will include kids being with their parents in Chapel. For this reason, this session is shortened with 20 minutes for worship and 25 minutes for a devotional. To both lessen your preparation time and to make this session a good fit for a wide range of ages, we’d like your devotional to focus on a key life verse or a significant verse the Lord has used in the last few years.
 Preaching/Messages for the Sessions Preparation:
-
We expect you to seek the Holy Spirit’s guidance regarding the series you are to teach. In most cases, this should focus on a key passage from which all the lessons originate. Of course, this can be a series you’ve preached at your church or at another location.
-
Topical series can be appropriate and beneficial at times; however, they should be rooted in a few key texts that keep the Bible in the focus.
-
Partnership: Communicate to us what you’re planning on teaching (include the main passage and the session titles). Any feedback from us is intended to encourage and bring clarity. We want the best for you and the guests we will be serving together. If you have more than one option and are looking for some input, let us know.
-
Feedback: In addition to encouraging you, the conference hosts will bring any necessary guidance. This ranges from content-related comments to practical matters (e.g. timing). We do this with an attitude of camaraderie and humility.
-
Gospel Presentation: Since we regularly have guests that are unsaved, we ask that in at least one session you include a clear presentation of the gospel with an opportunity for guests to respond.
-
Promotions: Our aim is to keep the sessions promotion-free. Let us know if you’d like us to make any announcements of this nature.
Meals and Amenities:
-
Meals: We serve breakfast and dinner each day in our main Dining Room (MDR). Lunches for guests are not provided. You can choose to eat at one of many restaurants in the area (at your own expense). We do offer the option to eat with our staff or you can grab one of our sandwiches or salads from the Coach House.
-
Lodging: You will be staying in Pacific View Lodge. Your room includes a queen bed and sleeper sofa, fireplace, iron and ironing board, and complete kitchenette (microwave, mini-fridge, Keurig and sink). Beach towels are not provided.
