Brooke is a lover of people and a passionate student and teacher of the words and ways of Jesus. She has a beating heart for authentic discipleship and a desire to help others grasp the living, breathing Word of God.

She has served at The River Church of the South Bay for 15 years and she finds joy teaching at retreats, events, and schools and writing Bible study curriculum and devotionals. Brooke has a degree in communications from the University of Southern California and a masters degree in Bible exposition from the Talbot School of Theology.

She has been married to her husband, George, for 10 years and the Lord has blessed them with two children, August (age 4) and Clara (age 2). They are expecting baby number three in October 2022!

Women's Conference 2

May 19-21, 2023
Allison Allen

Allison Allen has always relished the power of story and the thrill of walking in the shoes of others. With nearly three decades of speaking, acting and writing under her belt, Allison loves weaving Biblical teaching and narrative together in unexpected ways.

Since 2022, Allison has also served as "wing-woman" to beloved Bible teacher (and dear friend) Lisa Harper on her popular Back Porch Theology podcast, where the goal is to help people understand Biblical truth in a "substantive but not stuffy" way.

Whatever the setting, Allison takes great joy when she is able to engage with those who sometimes feel overlooked or unseen - feelings she deeply empathizes with from her own personal journey.
